Sopwith Pup
Imported from America, this Sopwith Pup replica was built in the 1960's and incorporates an original Le Rhone 80 hp rotary engine. This aircraft has logged some 100hrs and last flew in early 1980's. We were tasked with bringing it up to airworthiness standard. This colour scheme is of the R.F.C 54 Squadron based in France 1917. A6192 was the Sopwith Pup in which New Zealander Capt Malcom McGregor shot down his first aircraft, an Albatros DIII on 6 June 1917.
